United States Navy World Voyage - 1908
Medals commemorate visit to San Diego of United States Battle Fleet on its voyage around world under command of Admiral Robley D. Evans. Evans (1846-1912), known as "Fighting Bob," was Captain of first ship firing first gun against Spaniards at Santiago 1898.
TYPE I
Obverse: Within center circle is male military bust facing part r.; outside, above Robley D. Evans; outside, below San Diego 1908
Reverse: Within circle is sailing vessel; outside, above Juan R. Cabrillo; outside, below San Diego 1542

Obverse: Same as obverse of No. 351, except San Francisco, Cal. replaces To Pacific Coast (A die variety of No. 351 omits dots before and after To Pacific Coast).
