CALIFORNIA GOLD DISCOVERY SEMICENTENNIAL
1898
SAN FRANCISCO, CA
Research fails to establish either origin of this medal
or nature and extent of "jubilee" celebration which latter obviously must
have been limited. For additional facts on discovery of gold in California,
see Part I, California Gold Discovery Centennial--1948 and
California Gold Rush Centennial--1949
