California Admission Day Celebration - 1896 - Stockton, CA

Each year, upon anniversary of California’s admission to Statehood, Sept. 9, 1850, Native Sons of Golden West sponsors celebration in some one California city. For information on N. S. G. W., see Part I, U. S. S. California Launching — 1904; see also Part II, California Admission Day Celebration — 1912.

Medals were struck for other similar celebrations but this piece and one for 1912, above, are only ones known to authors as not holed or looped.
